Mrs. Gertrude Williams, 70, died in a local hospital, Oct. 2 after an illness of
one month.

She was native and lifelong resident of Norfolk VA.  A member of Bute Street
Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mrs. Hannah Howard.

She is survived by a daughter, Miss Mildred E. Williams; a son, Peter Williams,
Jr.,; one sister, Mrs. Annie Cason; a brother, Nellie Howard; and four
grand-children.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Graves Funeral Home.  Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery.
