NORFOLK - John H. Williams of 1512 Outten St. died Tuesday at his home after a 
long illness.

A native of Washington, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Jessie Mae Williams and 
a son of the late Rufus Williams.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Tyner of 
Chesapeake, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Louise Freeman of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Rebecca Boone of Richmond; three step-sons, Herbert Britt and James Britt, both 
of Norfolk, and Jesse Britt of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Graves Funeral Home Chapel. Burial 
will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family is at the home of Mrs. Shirley Tyner, 
22108 Shade Lane, Chesapeake.
