NORFOLK - Alexander Williams Sr., 82, of 771 Avenue B died Saturday at 7:10 a.m. 
in a Norfolk hospital after short illness.

A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Williams. He 
retired as a painter at Norfolk Naval Station in 1931 after 30 years of service. 
He lived in Norfolk 60 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nellie E. Williams and a son, Alexander 
Williams Jr. of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service. A funeral service will be 
conducted in First united Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, Wednesday 
at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. O.A. Wynn. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
