He had not been ill; his death was sudden and unexpected. Mr. Williams was born in Norfolk, the son of the late George Sr. and Ollie Lee Williams. He was retired from the mail handling section of the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years and at the time of his death, Mr. Williams was employed as a driver with SEVAMP Senior Services. He was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church and the Men's Usher Board; Excelsior Lodge (NU)87, A.F. & A.M., Prince Hall; and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Jeanette L. Younger-Williams. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Jean Williams; one sister, Marie Fallin; two grandchildren, Felicia and Kimberly Fields; three nephews, Harvey Lawrence, Wayne Lawrence and Alrick Lamarr Fallin; and two sisters-in-law, Louise Younger and Rosa Younger. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Cedric Kirkland-Harris. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church at noon Tuesday.
