Walter H. Williams, 73, of the 2800 block of Myrtle Ave., died Jan. 18, 1993, in 
Sentara Leigh Hospital. 

Mr. Williams was born in Southampton County. He was retired from Norfolk & 
Western Railroad. He was a member and deacon of Garden of Prayer Temple Church 
of God in Christ, Portsmouth, where he also served on the Usher Board. 

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Williams; two daughters, Willie Mae Warren of 
Ivor and Florence W. Reynolds of Zuni; three sisters, Henrietta Bradshaw of 
Waverly, Louise Stith of Hampton and Margaret Williams of Hampton; seven 
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. 

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Garden of Prayer Temple Church 
of God in Christ, Portsmouth, by Bishop L.E. Willis Sr. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery . Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
