Williams, of the 800 block of Rugby St., died Feb. 4, 1996. She was a retired kindergarten teacher after 25 years of service. She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of George C. Williams Sr. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Norfolk. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn W. Shield of Camp Springs, Md. 20748; son, George C. Williams Jr. of Chesapeake; brother, Willie James Mooring; grandchildren, Belinda Smith, Brenda, Cindy, Thomas Jr., and Clinton M. Whitaker, Kimberly, Kelly and Jasmine Williams. She was predeceased by her parents, Roxanna and Bunch Mooring. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Brother Wilbert Hawkins in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 645 Mayflower Road, Norfolk. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at 869 Rugby St., at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession Thursday. Hale Funeral Home in charge.
