Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 7, 1954
Miss Gertrude Williams of 703 Southampton avenue, Atlantic City, died July 24 at
a Norfolk hospital.  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. August 1 at Riddick’s
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. R. Johnson Jr., pastor of St. John AME Church,
officiating.  Miss Williams was a native of Norfolk.

Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Willie B. Williams;  and three sisters, Mrs.
Estelle Smith, Mrs. Lucile Pope, and Mrs. Clara Todd, all of Norfolk.  Burial
was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick’s Funeral Home in charge.
