Virginian Pilot March 11, 1902 

Mr. Winfred Williams died Sunday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rosa 
Topping, in Oakdale. The deceased was 18 years of age and came here eight years 
ago from Perquimans County, N.C., where he was reared. His funeral services were 
held yesterday from his late home and the interment was made in Magnolia Cemetery. 
The Rev. S.S. Robinson, pastor of South Norfolk Baptist Church, officiated at the 
service.
