A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late James E. Sr. and Cordelia McCoy Williams and the husband of Geraldine S. Williams. Jimmy was the owner and operator of Dirt Eaters Janitorial Service. He had been employed at Volva Bus and Car in Chesapeake for more than 15 years until it closed. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brynn S. Williams; three sons, Terrell C. Williams, Derrick J. Williams and Jason T. Williams, all of the home; three sisters, Jacqueline Edmondson, Georgia Yancey and Josephine Scoefield; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Eric O. Williams. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church, 1317 Gust Lane, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Sidney Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the residence.
