Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 31, 1997 
James Bernard Williams, a native of Norfolk, died March 22, 1997, in Calvary
Hospital in New York.

He was a retired civil service employee with many years of service.

Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa Williams of Norfolk; a brother, Herbert
Mitchell of Hopewell, Va.; three grandchildren; a sister-in-law; several nieces,
nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Funeral Home. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at
1:30 p.m. Tuesday for the services.
