Norfolk - John Williams, 54, of 313 Walnut street, who died April 19 in a
hospital after a short illness, was given final rites Sunday in Christ
Pentecostal Holiness Church and was buried in Calvary Cemetery with Morning
Glory Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Greensboro, NC, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Williams
and the husband of Mrs. Lula Williams.  He was a member of the National Maritime
Union 19 years.

Besides his widow, surviving are a son, John Williams III of Norfolk;  two
brothers, Joe F. Williams of Greensboro and Moses Williams of Los Angeles, and a
grandchild.
