Norfolk - Calvin R. Williams, a merchant seaman, died an accidental death in
Singapore,Japan.

A Norfolk native, he was the husband of Mrs. Bernadine Williams and the son of
the late Jimmerson Williams and Mrs. Bessie Williams.

A member of Trinity Baptist church, he was a veteran of the Merchant Marines for
25 years.

Survivors include three sons, Nichols Williams and Rodney Williams of Norfolk,
Army Sgt. Bernard Williams of Vietnam; four daughters, Jacqueline Williams,
Joyce Williams, Janice Williams and Janet Williams; and two brothers, Robert
Williams of Norfolk and the Rev. Reuben Williams of Bridgeport, CT.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home.
