Born in Plymouth, N.C., he was retired from self-employment in transportation service and was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street. Survivors include his wife, Delrease Williams; a brother, Charles Moore of Spartanburg, S.C.; two nephews, Ted Sturgis and Ernald B. Graves; a sister-in-law, Vernetta Sturgis; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Bute St., by Dr. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. The remains will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. the day of the service. Also, the family will receive friends at the residence.
