NORFOLK - Annie Ricks Williams of Richmond, formerly of Norfolk, departed this 
life Jan. 9, 2002. She was predeceased by her brother, Abe Ricks. 

She is survived by her son, Ralph Ricks; brother, William Ricks; five sisters, 
Maggie Richardson, Thelma Gainer, Emma Riddick, Ruth Leveston, and Estella 
Shahid; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; an aunt, an uncle, a sister-in-
law, three brothers-in-law, co-workers, other relatives and dear friends, among 
them a special friend, Thelma Dillard. 

A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. in Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary 
St., by the Rev. Earl Brown, pastor, and the Rev. Ricardo Brown, officiant. The 
remains will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Relatives and 
friends attending the funeral will assemble at the church at 12:30 p.m. today. 
Interment will be Monday in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Mimms Funeral 
Home, Richmond, is in charge.
