He was a native and well-known resident of Norfolk, and is survived by one brother, M. Augustus Williams, of Norfolk; one niece, Mary V. Williams, of Richmond; and three nephews, J.L., J. Arthur and B.L. Williams, all of Norfolk Mr. Williams was a member of Ruth Lodge, No. 39, A.F.&A.M.; Grice Commandery, Shrine and B.P.O.E. No.. 38. The remains were brought to Norfolk for funeral services and interment, time of which will be announced later. Virginian Pilot, Nov. 12, 1929 Funeral services for Samuel George Williams, whose death occurred Sunday at Flint Hill, Va., were held at noon today, at the residence of his brother, M. Augustus Williams, 121 W. Thirteenth Street, Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a double cluster of chrysanthemums, roses and ferns. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The pallbearers were, Harry T. White, W.W. Lee, R.B. Walls, W.T. Gregory, C.A. Campbell, L.H. Dowd, J.G. Graham, and J. Arthur Addenbrook.
