A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Viola Poore Stone. She was the widow of Livingston Williams and retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center after many years of dedicated service as a clerk at the freight terminal. Rebecca was very active and a strong pillar in every activity and group in which she was a part of. She was a devoted and respected woman at Grace Episcopal Church. She was involved in many phases of church life such as Daughters of the King, Episcopal Church Women, Altar Guild, Martin Bible Class, St. Helenas Guild and was a former Vestry member. She was an active member of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1938, and also a member of the Atominettes Social Club. She leaves to cherish her warm heart and memory, a sister, Emma Jeffries and her husband George. Also left to carry on her legacy are her caring nieces, Clemmie Davis and her husband Walter Davis, Paulette Ellis, Janaia McNeil and her husband Brian, Janai Jeffries, Kenya Pettiford and Verline Jeffries; and her nephews, Gary Jeffries, George Jeffries III and Keson Graham. Rebecca will not only be missed by her many loving relatives, she will be missed by those lives she has touched with her warm and pleasant smile. The funeral will be Saturday at noon in Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Father Harold J. Cobb DD officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Viewing will be held Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Altar Guild or the Daughters of the King Full Circle.
