She was a native of Currituck, N.C., and the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Bray Jefferson. She was the widow of William R. Williams. Mrs. Williams was employed as a cafeteria manager with Norfolk Public Schools and served 25 years before she retired. She was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church and the Beautification Club of the church. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted daughters, Michele W. Midgett and Sheila W. Griffin and their husbands, Pernell Midgett and Junius Griffin Sr.; five sisters, Julia Hunt, Lena Alfred, Pinky Lloyd, Vashtie Moore and Margaret Rich; four grandchildren, Ebonie, LaChele, Juniette and Junis Jr.; a nephew, Raymond Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Riddick Funeral Service by the Rev. Frank Anderson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The family will be at her residence.
