He was a native of Bowman, S.C., and the son of the late Livingston Sr. and Mary White Williams. He was the husband of Rebecca Stone Williams. He had served for 30 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a chief mess management specialist. After military service, he was employed at the Navy Commissary for 20 years after which he retired in 1991. He was a faithful member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Rebecca Stone Williams of the home; devoted sisters-in-law, Lula S. Proctor and Emma S. Jeffries; brother-in-law, George Jeffries; six nieces, Clemmie P. Davis, Verline Jeffries, Paulette Ellis, Kenya Pettiford, Janaia Anderson and Joyce Riley; a nephew, Gary Jeffries; and a host of cousins and devoted friends, among them Earl and Vivian Wallace and Stokley and Lola Beckett and their families. He was predeceased by a brother, Nero Williams, and a sister, Ruth Berry. A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church by the Rev. H. Carlyle Church. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
