The Virginian Pilot Friday Jan. 16, 1959
Jesse Robert Williford, 62, of 1328 Rodgers St., died Thursday at 6 a.m. at the 
residence.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., he was a son of the late William Robert and 
Mrs. Sarah Bowen Williford.  He had lived in this area the last 45 years.  He 
was employed as an engineer by the Gulf Oil Corp.
He was a member of the South Norfolk Baptist Church, Berkley Chapter 46, 
W.O.W., and the Junior Order of American Mechanics.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Lassiter Williford; two sons, William I. 
Williford of South Norfolk and Coy L. Williford of Marion, Ohio, and one half-
sister, Mrs. Helen Leicestel of Harrellsville, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Graham Funeral Home Saturday at 2 
p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
