James Willis, 61, of 900 Baltimore street, died March 20 following a long 
illness at his residence. Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist 
Church with the Rev. H. L. McClendon Jr., pastor, officiating.

Mr. Willis, a native of Norfolk County, was the son of the late James Sr. 
and Mrs. Mollie Hockney Willis.

Survivors are four sons, Christopher, of Trenton NJ; Calvin, Alvin, and 
Augusta Willis of Norfolk VA; three brothers, the Rev. W. M. Willis, and 
Odell Willis, of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Chesson, of Norfolk; 
Mrs. Bessie Montague, and Mrs. Annie Long, of New York City, and other 
relatives.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick's Funeral Home in charge.
