Virginian Pilot Saturday, January 4, 1902

WILLIS - At his residence, No. 57 Fenchurch Street, Friday, January 3d, 1902, at 
6:45 a.m., Captain REUBEN WILLIS, aged 73 years.
The funeral will take place THIS (Saturday) NOON at 12 o'clock from his late 
residence. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend.

The obsequies of Captain Reuben Willis, whose death has been noted in these 
columns, were held from the residence, No. 57 Fenchurch Street, at noon 
yesterday. The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. J.J. Taylor, of Freemason 
Street Baptist Church. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Following were the pallbearers: Captain William Cooley, Captain Charles Nelson, 
Captain J.A. Pritchard, Messrs. L. Royster, A.W. Fairer and H.F. Coke.
