Norfolk - A funeral service was held last Thursday at Mother Church of God in 
Christ for Mrs. Lara Willis, 71, of 1633 Willoughby avenue, who died July 22, in 
a Norfolk hospital.

Bishop D. L. Williams officiated at the service. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Riddick Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Willis was a missionary worker and a “mother” of the church. She was a 
native of Norfolk County.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. William M. Willis; a daughter, Miss 
Dorothy Willis; a sister, Mrs. Missouri Barnes; and three grandchildren.
