Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 19, 2009
VIRGINIA BEACH - Dr. Susie R . Wilson , 81, of the 3700 block of Candy Court, 
passed away March 16, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a 
native of Warren County, North Carolina. 

She was a counselor for the City of Norfolk and retired in 1986 after 30 years 
of service. Dr. Wilson was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Carter Wilson and son, Glenn. She leaves 
to cherish her memory a sister, Lillian Williams of Alexandria, Va.; brother, 
the Rev. James Russell (Rosetta) of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews 
and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Grace Episcopal Church, 1400 East 
Brambleton Ave., Norfolk. Father Harold J. Cobb Jr. will officiate. She will 
lie in repose at the church at 11 a.m. The viewing will be Friday from 1 to 6 
p.m. in Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. The 
family will assemble at the funeral home for the procession at 11 a.m. Kevin 
A. Sanderlin, funeral director.
