Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Wilson, 77, of 706 Walker avenue, were held 
Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church, Berkley, the Rev. Noel Taylor, pastor, 
officiating.

Mrs. Wilson died at her home on Oct. 28.

A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Wilson was the widow of Ambrose Wilson, and a daughter 
of the late Jacob and Mrs. Lydia Trotman Reid.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Her survivors include two sons, Ambrose Wilson Jr., of Philadelphia and Napoleon 
Wilson of Norfolk;  one brother, George E. Reid of Norfolk and one grandson, 
Leroy Overby, also Norfolk;  one granddaughter, Mrs. Evelyn Smith of 
Philadelphia;  two nieces Mrs. Margaret Harris of Norfolk and Mrs. Ella Louise 
Hicklin of Cleveland,OH;  and one nephew, William B. Brown of Norfolk.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, with Fitchett’s Funeral Home in charge.
