Liberty St. died Monday in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness. She was a daughter of Van and Mrs. Cora Garland and the widow of Cornelius Wilson. She was a native of Portsmouth and lived in Norfolk most of her life. She operated Mary's Florist Shop, 900 E. Liberty St. She was a member of St. Mark's Congregational Christian Church and sang in the choir. Surviving are four sons, Garland Wilson, Carter Wilson, Harry Wilson and Lloyd Wilson; four daughters, Miss Gloria Wilson, Mrs. Carlyse Cassey, Mrs. Delores Pittman and Mrs. Claudetta Bailey; a sister, Mrs. Doris Bailey, and a brother, James Garland, all of Norfolk. The body was taken to Pretlow's Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in St. Mark's Congregational Christian Church Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David P. Butts, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
