Virginia Beach - Funeral services were held in Mt. Zion AME Church by the Rev. 
P. M. Caldwell recently for Mrs. Mary Holmes Wilson, 82, of 2040 Holland road, 
who died recently in a local hospital. A native of Tiajuana, PA, she was a the 
wife of George B. Wilson and a daughter of the late John and Mrs. Marian Holmes.

She attended Cheyney Institute and graduated from West Chester Normal School in 
1908. For many years she taught in the public school system, Germantown, PA.

She was a member of Mt.Zion AME Church and worked in the Sunday School and 
Vacation Bible School.

Besides her husband, she is survived by many distant relatives. Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with Walton Funeral Home in charge.
