Wilson, died Saturday in her home. Mrs. Wilson, who was a Red Cross volunteer at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Norfolk, had been awarded the Clara Barton Medal by the Red Cross. She also was a former president of the Norfolk County Medical Auxiliary and the Auxiliary to the Medical Society of Virginia. She had served on the board of the Norfolk Day Nursery, where for many years had a weekly story hour for its children. She was a longtime, active member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth W. James and Elizabeth W. Downey, both of Norfolk; a son, Franklin D. Wilson Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Robert H. Shultz of Richmond; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. Donald J. Dunlap. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
