James L. Wilson, of 708 Avenue A, died Aug. 11 in a Norfolk hospital following a 
long illness.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 15, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 
with the Rev. Henry Long, pastor of First Baptist Church, West Munden, 
officiating.

Mr. Wilson, a native of Norfolk, was employed at the Fairfax Hotel for many 
years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carlester Younger Wilson; two sons, James L. wilson 
Jr., of Philadelphia PA, and Robert L. Wilson of Norfolk VA, and three sisters, 
Mrs. Lucille Hall of Norfolk; Mrs. Mildred Mitchell and Mrs. Margaret Dunn of 
New York City.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Grave’s Funeral Home in charge.
