NORFOLK - Martin Edward Winbauer Sr., 80, of 150 D View Ave., retired telephone installer, died Sunday in his home. A native of Bismarck, N.D., he lived here 55 years. He retired after 42 years with Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a lifelong usher. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Meehan of Norfolk; two sons, Martin E. Winbauer Jr. and Robert A. Winbauer of Newton, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Monahan and Mrs. Theresa Forstner, and a brother, Rupert Winbauer, all of Richmond; and a number of grandchildren. A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7:30 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at noon in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will be at the church at 6:30 p.m. today. and at 11 a.m. Wednesday. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments has charge. Memorial donations may be sent to Holy Trinity School, Education Fund of Norfolk Catholic High School or St. John Vianney Seminary, Richmond.
