He had been ill for five months. Also known as "Mark Hanna," he was employed principally by salesmen who engaged him to carry their wares. A native of Norfolk, he was a member of the Sons of Norfolk Beneficial Association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Winder. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's A.M.E. Church, of which he was a member, by the Rev. J.H. Johnson, the rector. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
