A. R. Powell officiating. He died March 15 in a Boston hospital. A native of Eastville, he lived in Norfolk 50 years and in Boston three months. He was a retired quarterman of the U.S. Fuel Supply Center,Craney Island. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Marion Winder and a son of John and Mrs. Annie Winder. He was a member of the Bellman's Club, Retired Goverment Employees Association, and St. John's A.M.E. Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Sommerville of Pembroke, MA and Mrs. Maryann Gentry of Boston; three sons, Lucius Cobb Winder Jr. and David Alfred Winder of Boston, and Selden Ellsworth Winder of Norfolk; a brother, Alfred Winder of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body will be in the church at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
