Winfield, of the 200 block of E. 26th St., died Nov. 13, 1991, in a hospital. Mr. Winfield was born in Littleton, N.C. He was employed with General Foam Plastics Corp. and was the widower of Beatrice Winfield. He was a Baptist. Survivors include four stepdaughters, Polly L. Little and Mary L. Smith, both of Norfolk, Elaine Gardner of Margieville, N.C., and Virginia Tann of Jackson, N.C.; seven stepsons, James Mason, Grandveale Mason and Richard L. Mason, all of Norfolk, Melvin Mason, Eddie Mason and Matthew Mason, all of Jackson, and Lindburg Mason of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Sally Winfield of Bradnax, N.J., and Mary L. Billups of Newport News; and three brothers, John A. Winfield of Newark, N.J., Charlie Winfield of Cape Charles and Joseph Winfield of Chesapeake. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Magnolia Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Family and friends will assemble at 2913 Doris Ave., Chesapeake, at 12:30 p.m. for the procession. Metropolitan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
