Norfolk - Joseph Winfield Jr. of 267 Nicholson St., died Thursday in a hospital
after a long illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Mrs. Sarah W. Winfield and the late Joseph
Winfield Sr. and the husband of Mrs. Nellie Winfield.

He was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

Besides his mother and widow, surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Corrine
Spratley of Norfolk; and a brother, Jesse Winfield of Virginia Beach.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home.
