JAMES R. WINFIELD

NORFOLK - James Robert Winfield, 69, 926 Vero St., died Thursday in a local 
hospital.

A native of Washington, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Sarah Louise Tabb 
Winfield and a son of Mrs. Mary Rosetta Hawerin Winfield and John Nathan Winfield.

Besides his wife, surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Clareen Casey, Mrs. Robert 
Page, and Mrs. William Epestein of Norfolk, Mrs. Anthony Rossi, Mrs. Arthur 
Mathews, and Mrs. William M. Edwards of Virginia Beach; three sons, Robert L. 
Winfield of Virginia Beach, Earl R. Winfield of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Brian P. 
Winfield of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Claude Nucklos and Mrs. Thetis Pounder of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Edwin Bruce of Virginia Beach; and two brothers, Oscar Winfield 
and William Winfield of Virginia Beach.

A Rosary will be held at Cox Funeral Home Friday at 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery by 
Father Maurice Haiff.

Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

The family will be at 1489 Longdale Drive, Virginia Beach.
