Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 29, 1999 
Archie Winfield of the 800 block of Washington Ave. died July 25, 1999, in a
local hospital.

Born in Fayette, Miss., he was a retired steel worker and a member of New
Calvary Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise Winfield.

Survivors include three daughters, Glynis Mason, Edna Doreatha Burns and Archie
Dianne Bacon; a son, Harvey Knotts; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friends may join the family at the residence.
Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
