Norfolk Ledger Dispatch September 1 ,1920

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wingfield, aged 65 years, died this morning at her home, 221 
Walnut Street, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Wingfield was born in Norfolk and 
lived here all of her life. She was the daughter of the late William and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Godwin and widow of Lewis Wingfield. She is survived by one daughter, 
Mrs. M.E. Crawford of Baltimore and one grandchild. The funeral will take place 
from the residence Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
