Elizabeth Anne Tekinder Winter, 80, died Saturday, July 20, 1996.

She was a native of Newport News and resided in Norfolk for 62 years, most 
recently in Smithfield at the Riverside Assisted Living Center. She was a member 
of Christ the King Catholic Church, Norfolk.

She is survived by a son, William Alfred Winter; two sisters, Mary Tekinder Kearns 
and Josephine Tekinder Credle; a brother, John B. Tekinder; and two grandchildren.

A Christian Wake service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in Smith and Williams 
Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The family will receive friends following the 
service. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in 
Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. 
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American 
Cancer Society.
