Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday June 30, 1938
Mrs. Mildred Owen Wise, aged 33, wife of William Wise and daughter of the 
late George W. and Mrs. Elizabeth Curtis Owen, died Wednesday in 
Philadelphia. A native and former resident of Norfolk, she had been a 
resident of Philadelphia two years. Besides her husband, she is survived by 
one daughter, Jane Lee Wise; two sons, William and George Curtis Wise; one 
sister, Mrs. Doris Brock, all of Philadelphia; four brothers, George W. 
Owen, of Newark, N.J., Raymond Owen, of Norfolk, and Hubert and Clarence 
Owen, of Chicago. 
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mrs. Mildred Owen Wise -- Funeral services for Mrs. Wise, wife of William 
Wise and daughter of the late George W. and Mrs. Elizabeth Curtis Owen, 
whose death occurred Wednesday in Philadelphia will be held at the chapel of 
the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, today at 12 
o'clock noon., with W. M. Murphy, of the Christadelphian Chapel, 
officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
