Virginian-Pilot, February 17, 1899
The funeral for Mr. T.O. Wise, who passed away from earth on Tuesday night, was 
held from the residence of his mother, No. 40 Dartmouth Street, at 3 o’clock 
yesterday afternoon. The following ministers officiated: Rev. W. H. Edwards of 
Centenary, and Rev. Dr. W.J. Young, of Epsworth M.E. Church and Rev. A.S. 
Lloyd, of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, and Rev. M.B. Wharton, D.D., of 
Freemason Baptist Church. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were 
the pall-bearers: Messrs. Waverly Berkley, J.W. Cherry, W.A. Mehagin, G.W. 
Harrell, Fred Fletcher, R.W. Webb, Capt. W.W. Skinner and henry Totty.
