Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, March 9, 1993 
Mary "Polly" Henderson Withers, 88, of the 600 block of Redgate Ave., a 
retired secretary, died March 7, 1993, in Norfolk.

Mrs. Withers, a native of Norfolk, was retired from C & P Telephone Co. after 
39 years of service. She was the widow of Edward W. Withers. She was a member 
of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Norfolk and Telephone Pioneers of 
America.

Survivors include two nephews, Thom W. Henderson and Robert S. Henderson; one 
great-niece, Claudia H. Robinson; and one great-nephew, Robert S. Henderson 
Jr., all of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. James W.H. Sell. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the COT Fund, Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church.
