Norfolk - Mrs. Jessie Mae Witherspoon of Parmele, NC, a Norfolk native and former 
member of New Calvary Baptist Church here, received final rites Saturday at Hale 
Funeral Home.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Witherspoon is survived by her parents, George C. Vickers;  her husband, 
Johnnie Witherspoon;  two daughters, Miss Modia Belle Witherspoon of Parmele and 
Mrs. Esther Kornegay of Portsmouth;  and five sons, Sylvester, Nathaniel and 
Parcel Witherspoon of Parmele, Richard and Leo Stone of Brooklyn.
