Virginia Beach - Marjorie Wittman, of Virginia Beach, entered Eternal Life on 
Friday, October 13, 2017, at the age of 95 years. She was born in Cleveland, 
Australia, on March 20, 1922, to John Joseph Antonini and Elsie Caroline Thorpe 
Howarth Antonini. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William 
John Wittman, son, Daniel Joseph Wittman, daughter, Dolores Ann Hoyt, and son 
Leonard James Wittman. Left to cherish Marjorie's memory are her daughter, Estelle 
Spachmann, and her husband, Gary; like-a-daughter, Betty Bourne; son, Robert 
Wittman, and his wife, Patty; son, Martin Wittman; son, Richard Wittman, and his 
wife, Bonnie; son, Thomas Wittman, and his wife, Marion; son, Anthony Wittman, and 
his wife, Pam; son, John Wittman, and his wife, Michelle; daughter-in-law, Helen 
Wittman; son-in-law, Hal Hoyt; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; many 
loving nieces and nephews in Australia, New York and Maryland; other relatives and 
friends. Marjorie was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. 
She was also a member and former president of the Legion Of Mary, and took much 
satisfaction in performing the Work Of Mercy of visiting the sick. She was also 
very full of life, creative, resourceful, thrifty, practical, generous, thoughtful 
and kind. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 (TODAY), at 
Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, (5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, VA) 
from 6:00 PM until 6:30 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM. A Mass of the 
Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at St. Gregory the 
Great Catholic Church (5345 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA) at 10:00 AM. 
Procession to St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery to follow the Mass. A reception will be 
held at the church following the cemetery. The Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside 
Chapel, is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by
