Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 31, 1933

Newport News, July 30 --Mrs. Mary Ewing Wolf, 65, died tonight at the Elizabeth 
Buxton Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was the widow of C.A. Wolf 
and had been a resident of this city for four years. She was a native of Redden, 
Del. and had resided in Portsmouth, Richmond and Philadelphia before moving to 
this city.  She is survived by a daughter, Miss Emilie F. Wolf, Newport News; 
two brothers, John J. Hinman, Portsmouth and Elmer E. Hinman, Philadelphia; two 
sisters, Mrs. Hester A. Johnson, Newport News and Mrs. S. Ida Macklin, 
Wilmington, Del.; two nieces, Mrs. H.G. Downs, Newport News and Miss Elsie 
Hinman, Portsmouth and a nephew Adrian Johnson, of Newport News.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, 303 Chesapeake Avenue, Tuesday 
morning at 11 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. J.K. M. Lee, rector of 
St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The body will be forwarded to Norfolk Tuesday 
afternoon for burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
