The Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Womble was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Womble was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, daughter of the late Smith Edward and Mrs. Lucy Frances Borum Wise. She is survived by her husband, James J. Womble; two daughters, Mrs. Paxton, and Mrs. Daniel Howe Hoge, of Fort Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Charles B. Oldfield and Mrs. John J. Mapp, of Norfolk, and Mrs. J. Alfred Garrett of Drumwright, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
