Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 5, 1916 

Miles Wood died late yesterday afternoon in his 82d year. The funeral will take 
place Sunday at 3 p.m. at the residence of his son, Miles C. Wood., 1600 Llewellyn 
Avenue. He was one of the oldest members of the Wyandotte Tribe of Red Men and the 
Lafayette Lodge of Odd Fellows. He is survived by wife and two sons, William M. 
Wood of Norfolk and C.E. Wood, of Willoughby Beach; one daughter, Mrs. W.O. 
Stakes, of Norfolk. Service conducted by Rev. E.P. Miner. Burial in Elmwood.
