Wood, died yesterday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Huntington, W.Va. after an illness of eight years. He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, a member of the Junior Order American Mechanic and of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Hazel White Wood, he is survived by two sons, Charles and Leroy Wood; a sister, Mrs. Ada W. Fentress and a brother, William E. Wood, all of Norfolk. Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments 610-12 East Freemason Street, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with Chaplain William E. Callender, U.S.P.H.S. officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
