Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday August 21, 1949
Mrs. Elizabeth Hunter Wood, 95, died Friday at 10:50 p.m. at her home, RFD 
Route 1, Hickory.
A native of Princess Anne County, she was a daughter of Jacob and Mrs. Sarah 
Ann Cason Hunter and the widow of William Wood.
Surviving are four nieces, Mrs. Frank Portlock, Miss Sadie West, Miss 
Elizabeth Douglas and Miss Sarah Douglas, and two nephews, John Walker West 
and Leroy Thomas West, all of Hickory.
The body will be taken from the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, South Norfolk, 
to Magnolia Cemetery for funeral services today at 3:30 p.m.
