Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 21, 1937
Mrs. Ida Davis Wood, aged 69, died at her residence, 806 Baldwin avenue, 
Apartment 2, yesterday afternoon. She was a native of Buckingham County, and 
had resided in Norfolk for 47 years.
Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late William H. and Mrs. Louise Allen Davis, 
and is survived by her husband, F.O. Wood; one daughter, Mrs. Duke Woodhouse, 
Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. C.D. Fagan, Norfolk, and Mrs. Jesse Weede, Franklin, 
and three brothers, W.E. Davis, Newport News; A.G. Davis, Andersonville, and 
Guy Davis, Glenwood, Calif. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 
631 Westover avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. P. Rowland 
Wagner, pastor of Central Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the 
family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
