Wood, widow of Walter N. Wood, took place at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at the Freemason Street Baptist Church, in which she was an active worker. Rev. Sparks Melton conducted the services. Handsome flowers were in abundance. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery and the pall bearers were J. F. Kitterman, A. W. Fairer, E. B. Johnson, Dr. J. J. Miller, W. F. Robertson, M. Winston, John Smith, S. G. Page. The body arrived here yesterday morning from Baltimore, where she was carried two weeks ago for treatment. She was a native of this State, was 41 years old and had lived 25 years in Norfolk, where she resided on Olney Road. Among the flowers was a pillar of roses and carnations presented by Mrs. Wood's Sunday School class. Mrs. Ada B. Peak sang two beautiful solos, "The Haven of Rest," and "In the Upper Garden."
