Virginian-Pilot, November 16, 1887
On Monday night little Bessie Wood, aged 10 years, died in Atlantic City, after 
an illness of one day. On Wednesday last the mother and infant child died. On 
Wednesday last she was in the yard playing and got struck in the stomach. At 
night she was taken with convulsions and on Monday she died. She was the 
daughter of the late Isaac Wood, formerly of this city. Her funeral will take 
place today.
